In this christmas game I've learn't that you've have too pair up the name and match it together with the picture. It is really easy for me. Next time i would want to get a harder one.

Measurement Nov 2014

Measurement work was really easy to figure it out. Finally I know how to measure angles. Next time I would want to learn more about geometry. 

Using a calculator

In this game you will have to multiply the other guest that's playing has to multiply what the arrow is pointing too. This game is to get four in a row. Next year I will want to make it to the next level in this game and make it more harder for me and challenging.

In this maths game these sums were really hard to figure it out. I just needed time to think what was the answer. Next time I would want to try this again but the harder level.

Today Room 11 students are painting gift wrappers for the Christmas Banquet dinner. 

Duffy Books

Today at school there was a Duffy Assembly. Niva Retimanu is a Samoan radio announcer and our role model. When she was 4 years old she couldn't speak English at all. Niva's Dad took her to the library to read and learn a bit of English. When she got older she could  speak English and was learnt how to read. In Niva Retimanu's house she has over 500 books. Niva's motto is "It's cool to read and it's cool to achieve."

Today room 11 students were sharing our e-books about making muffins. Room 11 was really excited to share our facts about how to make a muffin. It is really important to know how to make muffin so when it's time for their class to bake they know how to make healthy muffins.  

Mathletics

 

In class we went on to the mathletics. I was went onto the multiplying 10,100,1000. It was really easy. Next time I would like to do a harder example like this again next year.

Sumdog

In this game we have to answer what is 12x9 and have to hold the answer to get double points. I came last in this game it was really difficult for me to play this. Next time I will try my best to come first.

To play this game, I have to flick the answer to the goal post to get a score. For example, if the sum was 1/10 of 10 than I have to flick the answer to the goal post to get a score. It wasn't hard for me because it's just like time tables. I came second in this game. Next time I'm going to try to come first.

Jazire and I are reading a presentation about migration of Samoans to New Zealand. Jazire was able to learn the hard words that I added to my presentation. 

Reading

Today I have been learning cause and effect. I've been told to but the ice cream on top of the cone that has the same meaning on the ice cream.

Dental Presentation

Room 1 1 students raised some questions for Mrs Wall bridge to answer.  She answered all the questions.  She answered one of my questions. Such as  “ What is a wisdom tooth? It is sort of like a third molar. Then she carried on answering the questions.

I was very scared of the picture she showed. It was a woman that was smoking and drinking. Half of her mouth had disappeared because of her smoking and drinking. I had learnt a lot from her. I will take her advice and keep my mouth clean and healthy and will never smoke.

Main Idea-Buttons

WALT:Find the main idea.

Buttons tells stories and the history is found based on buttons. Abby’s mum and aunty sewed buttons for the dressing gown. There were 8 different buttons. Some buttons are from a old pair of dungarees,from a old shopping bag and also two different coloured buttons from dresses.    

Ginger-Main Idea

This story is about a old horse who got sold to a different family for a light work. Ken and his sister climbed over the gate and sat on Ginger to get ready to go school. Jane and her two brothers  threw sticks at Ginger and got hit on his rump. Jane and his two brother were jealous of them that’s the reason they are throwing sticks at him. Ken’s dad felt sick and they left the farm and moved to another town.

Today is our lucky day because the staff wanted to share with the children in class.

We need mouth guard when playing sport

WALT: Write a persuasive speech

The Dental Association has found that one third of the dental injuries are sports related. It’s good to wear a mouth guard because it protects against jaw joints injury and it will help us prevent neck jaw injuries.

All students need mouthguards during practising. Biting down your mouth guard keeps your in place during impact and tension. Basically wearing a mouth guard can toughen me up. This new BJJ student just didn't understand why he has to wear his comfortable mouth guard for.

Mouth guard is really important to wear in case you will lose a tooth in a sport game and then you have to end up paying for it.

doubles

I was learning my doubles in this maths game. I want to learn my doubles that a higher than 20. I found it very easy because all the  numbers were small. I want to move on to improve my maths.
